No one believes in the histories of the forgotten tivoli anymore. Like a story fallen by the wayside of time. For many years, the tivoli was spoken of but now it seems to have been lost to memory. There were stories of figures with special powers who could stop time and were able to hide from the world. Rumour has it that a few selected heroes were concealed in a very secret place when evil attempted to eradicate good. But that was so long ago that no one even tries to discover the truth...
Bill is now used to living in a forgotten place. His mission is more important than his location. Destiny was decided long before he was born and perhaps that’s why he has never questioned it. His gift is to see into a potential future which makes him the best possible decision maker. Friends usually joke that he’s come from another time, and maybe that’s exactly true.
Few people would guess that Penny has such a sharp wit and an almost unlimited ability to analyse her surroundings. Miss Penny has two important attributes, her time-keeping and her curls. She was picked out to manage the tivoli when it was shown that her curls could direct her built-in clock.
Hanna is a survivor. She has had many life-threatening adventures. She has trained to be able to change shape. She practiced for many years and the exceptional gift must be constantly kept up. But to do so demands bravery, and Hanna has that in droves.
MISS LOLA Lola is a master of detail. While others focus on the big picture, she finds the missing pieces of the puzzle. Her thoughts always find new paths. She elevates the abilities of those who do not easily find their space and sees all those tiny gestures that would normally go unnoticed. Her humanity receives precisely the love it deserves. THE LOST CAROUSEL A swing squeaks in the wind and far away the notes from a distant accordian can be heard. Otherwise it’s deserted and almost a little bit eerie. The mist has settled in for the night and the abandoned carousel that looks like it took its last turn decades ago slowly creaks into motion.
MR WILLIAM Few people have seen William stand still. He’s quick as a firefly and not even the wind can catch up with him. William has a large garage full of vehicles he’s always working on. One day he’s building a time machine and the next, a flying bicycle. THE NIGHT CAROUSEL When nighttime knocks on the door of the Tivoli, the forgotten carousel awakens. Small decorative lamps crackle to life and emit a fragile, warm glow. The scent of roasted almonds and hot sugar appear from nowhere. On a given signal, lonely streets are transformed into vibrant parties and the Tivoli comes to life.
I'm pretty sure my wall will have no empty space once this collection arrives.
